Vector iterator does not iterate in one go, but iterates much slower (I think in the task speed of freeRTOS)

When using the vector iterator my assumtion was that all blocks that belong to the vector iterator are executed as fast as possble (in one 'go'). But in practice this is not the case, it takes much more time then expected to iterate through the blocks.
