Custom code

Added by Suphichaya Youngsubtargul (โอปอ) about 2 years ago

Hello,

I would like to implement custom code and I see there is a "Basic Custom Code" block (I don't see it in the library browser, but it is in the utilities library).
Up to now (without your blockset), I used S-functions in order to integrate custom code in a model.

My question is: what is better ? To use your custom code block or the S-function ?

Thanks,

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas, kindly find the answer to both your questions:

1. According to our records, you have downloaded Waijung 2 version 22.4b from our website. I am using the same version and it is available when I search for the Basic Custom Code block in both the Library Browser and the Simulink model home page View

2. The difference between Waijung 2 custom code block and the S-Function block is the ease of configuration. From our perspective, using the custom code block is easier as it allows the user to focus on integrating custom C code without requiring knowledge of how to create the block itself (Block mask, C-mex or TLC). However, if you are already familiar with S-function and are comfortable with it then please continue to use it. There is always more than one way of doing things to achieve the same result so should not be a problem in your final result.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

1. Yes, you are right, I didn't see that the block is at the top level of the utilities library. I was looking for it it as a subcomponent. Sorry...

2. I am going to test the basic custom code block.

Best regards,

Nicolas
