Read Sensor Data

Added by Nanga Man over 3 years ago

Hello together,

I have to connect Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 to a esp32 board and read the sensor data (distance). Is there any example programm with waijung where i can learn how to build it?

As in Arduino and simulink there are variable sensor blocks which can be directly connected in modell and read the output data. Will there be such blocks in future version of waijung2.

Hello,

The current release (waijung2_20.11b) does not have a separate block for HC-SR04. However we are hoping to include several new blocks for popular sensors available in the market in a future release of waijung2.

Please stay tuned for updates.

Dhanika

Hello Dhanika,

As i mentioned early are there any example program with waijung where i can learn how to connect Sensor with ESP32 and read Sensor Data.

Thank you.

Hello Nanga,

It is not possible to read a HC-SR04 sensor using the current version of the waijung2 block set. We will include the necessary blocks required for the task in a future release.

Hello Dhanika,

Is that the case only for HC-SR04 or other Sensors too. I would also like to connect MPU6050, Lidar Lite V3 and Hall sensor TLE 4935. Are there any possibilitie to connect these sensor with ESP32 with Waijung2 blockset and read the sensor Data.

Thank you.

Dear Nanga,

As of now (waijung2_20.11b) we do not have separate block for any of these sensors. However depending on the sensor, you might be able to use our existing blocks (for example the I2C Block) to create a custom subsystem that would enable you to read that sensor.

In future releases we will try our best to add more blocks to enable the users to read popular sensors available in the market either directly (as a separate block for the sensor) or indirectly (adding necessary blocks so that the user would be able to configure a custom subsystem).

Hope this answers your question.
