Project 1: Road safety warning light, unable to build

Added by arya radi about 1 year ago

Hi

I'm a student trying to use Waijung 2 for my project. So i started by trying to do "Project 1: Road safety warning light".

I already followed the instructions closely, and here i already tried using WiFi (STA) and the Serial modes. I use ESP32 Wrover

When i built the project, it always fails. i don't know why. I attached a picture of what was noticeable to me in the diagnostics viewer, and i also attached a txt. file of it

Please help because i have a deadline.

Hello Arya,

Thank you for reaching out. I have tried this demo on my end.

Currently your file path length for where you have stored the Simulink file is very long. Could you please try using a shorter file path? My file path is 23 characters long and builds without any problems. Try to limit yours to 30 characters.

Let me know how it goes.

Sincere regards,
Parth Maheshwari

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply, I did try using a shorter path but the problem still persists

Could you attach the entire log .txt file too please?

i used an even shorter path this time, still doesn't work

I think you attached the older log file. Could you please attach the one after making the path shorter?

Hi Arya,

Firstly, when I opened your model, it looked like this:

The connection to the Digital Output block was broken and no GPIO pin was selected in the Digital Output block. Could you please check this?

Secondly, I fixed the broken link, selected a GPIO pin, ran it in External Mode via Serial (make sure you select the correct COM Port, UART Tx and Rx pins), removed the lamp and tried to build it with your configurations i.e. ESP32S3, MATLAB 2022b. It builds without problems for me.

Please schedule a technical session with us here if it still cannot build for you. We can debug your problem on Zoom in real-time.

Sincere regards,
Parth Maheshwari

Please also try using another ESP32 board if that's a possibility.

i deleted the dashboard element and reconnected the source to the digital output. But it still doesn't work, and ESP32 WROVER is all i have.

It keeps failing here.

Guess I'll try the technical session.

Hi Arya,

Please do upload your build folder (.rar file) and complete log from the diagnostic viewer (.txt file)

We will keep trying to solve your issue. In the meantime, if you do give it a try on another ESP32/another computer/another MATLAB version, please let us know the result.

Sincere regards,
Parth
